On 8/5/23, our last foal of 2023 made his grand appearance. Samba is registered as BAMF Invitation To Dance.

He is by Play The Odds out of One Day Desert Dancer. PSSM1 negative via parentage. He is a striking buckskin colt with a crooked stripe and a small snip. He sports two back socks with ermine spots and likely will have more bend-or/birdcatcher spots as both his dam and sire are peppered with them.

Samba came into this world as the life of the party and his only speed was fast. But, as he’s aged, he’s quickly become a “stop and smell the roses” type horse. He has a very delicate heart and kind soul. Samba truly is the epitome of obsessed when it comes to people. You wouldn’t be able to get him to leave you alone if you paid him! He has a lovely croup that will aide him well in a sport career. He’s also looking to be of stallion quality as he continues to unfold. Strong hindquarters, correct angles, laid back shoulder, clean throatlatch with tippy ears all wrapped in a buckskin wrapper. Between his personality and conformation, we have high hopes for his future as a stallion!

His sire is linebred to Fleetwing and his dam is linebred to KRP Cocoa, a son of Sunup Neptune. His granddam also goes directly back to De Novo Shameless & Holiday Temptress, tying his genetics to Holiday Compadre. His breeding is unique and built for sport.

Samba has already had wins in hand at not even a full year, sporting Champion and Grand Champion stallion in open halter classes at our local venues. He’s also managed to snag himself a win in showmanship. This young man is truly a class act with a brilliant mind. We have his first cross planned in 2025 if he’s able and cannot wait to see where a career as a stallion will lead him! He’s truly a treasure to carry on his father’s legacy.
